Margaret Jefferds

I teach Family & Consumer Sciences in two different rural school systems. I am also a community communicator for USDA with regard to the Choose My Plate Food Guide, which replaces the Food Pyramid. Through cooperation with other departments within the schools, I impart knowledge and information concerning the impending food crisis that our world will be facing by 2050. Every day, I provide information, skills, and services to more than 100 students through the CTE exploratory course of Home & Career Skills.

In one of the school districts, I also work with the costume mistress for the school's annual musicals. It has been enjoyable and inspiring to see the kids rise above themselves many times when working on these productions.
